P S M Chapter 11: Naval Base and Sword Purchase.
Although Lin Yu was on his own ship and was came straight to Loguetown and there was no cargo on the ship, he didn’t know if it was because of the excessive burning of Air Luck Points that the travel was 30 percent less than ordinary people's travel. It turned out that the travel had only needed a 5-day voyage, even if he had either encountered strong winds or waves or had heavy rain.
It had been more than a week since he has finally arrived in Loguetown, and because of various bad weathers, he gave the three sailors their wages doubled to appease them after selling the boat.
Lin Yu had directly sent the boat to the dock in Loguetown and found the supervisor in charge of the ships' sale and purchase in the dock. He had planned to sell the ship directly to the dock together with the ship’s sundries, and the dock supervisor asked technical workers to get on board the ship. After evaluating the ship’s situation, the dock supervisor had offered a low purchase price to him. Even if Lin Yu knew in this era of great seas, the shipyard was a profiteering industry, and he couldn’t help but secretly scolding the unscrupulous businessman in his heart. After the supervisor had bargained for a long time, he didn't announce the end of the bargain until Lin Yu had agreed to exchange this old double-masted sailboat for a new one that could be driven by one person.
When he saw the dock supervisor walking away calmly, Lin Yu had known he had definitely lost, but he didn't bother caring about it after switching to a ship that he could sail in the sea alone.
After coming out of the dock, Lin Yu had first settled the commissions of the sailors he hired and let them go back on the merchant ship by themselves; they had taken the money and left contentedly. After the sailors left, he also turned towards the town; he went to the naval base and exchanged the bounty of Green Hammer's head.
As for the new mono-masted sailboat, he had already agreed with the dock supervisor and would pick it up when he goes to sea. Now he should park it in the dock first.
An hour later, Lin Yu arrived at the naval base in Loguetown. After all, he had lived in Loguetown for five years. Although he didn't go out very often, he was familiar with it during these five years.
After being greeted by the navy base soldier on duty standing at the gate of the marine base, and went to the duty room level alone he was taken to the office where the pirate bounty was given.
He didn’t know if it’s because the registered information is a member of one of the local Three Avenue Pavilions in Loguetown, which was considered to be a local power in the town, so he had not encountered any unfair treatment at this naval base. In the circumstances, after confirming that the pirate Green Hammer’s head was placed in the box at the naval base, the officer had happily gave Lin Yu two million Bellys. After receiving the money, Lin Yu did not leave the office immediately. Instead, he asked the officer for information about many pirates operating in the nearby waters, and before leaving the naval base, he went out with a large list of reward orders.
After leaving the naval base, Lin Yu walked around the streets of Loguetown and said that although he had lived there for 5 years and because of the feeling of crisis in this world for the first time, he was more and more busy practicing hard and had rarely gone out because he had no money in his pocket. He hadn't even visited the start and end locations of Loguetown. Now he had a bit of self-preservation, and his wallet is bulging. He would slowly and carefully look around the city and buys compasses for his sea voyage, maps of nearby sea areas, necessary fruits and drinks, food, barrel freshwater, and other necessary materials. Onboard, and after paying the extra shipping costs, the store owner patted his chest and promised he would deliver things to his ship still parked in the dock.
After purchasing these trivial things, Lin Yu walked to the weapon shop in the town. This was his second purpose in the town, to buy a better weapon.
The owner of the gun store in Loguetown was a bald, red-nosed middle-aged man who appeared in front of Lin Yu, with his hairline not as high as Roronoa Zoro's, but it was also an appearance shameful. After walking into the store, the boss greeted him with enthusiasm, and while inquiring about his needs, he bragged about how sophisticated the weapons in his store were.
Lin Yu didn't care about the self-selling boast of the weapon shop owner.
In order not to waste time, he had observed at first the swords one sword after one sword letting the boss directly introducing the best quality swords in his store.
Lin Yu had used the tone of a major customer, which made the weapon shop owner even more excited and he had taken him to the bottom area of the weapon shop and introduced him to several so-called the 100 strongest swords made by famous masters. Lin Yu picked up the sword and looked at it carefully, and found that the few swords introduced by the boss, although they could be regarded as high-quality goods, were many times better than the long sword with a big gap, but they still did not meet his aims expectation.
"Boss, although these swords are good, they are still far from my expected goal. Isn't there a better sword in your store?" Lin Yu asked the boss dissatisfied.
Seeing Lin Yu even dissatisfied with the few boutique swords in the store, the owner of the weapon shop gritted his teeth and said, "Yes, you can wait here for a while, and I'll get it for you right away." After speaking, he hurriedly ran to the second floor of the weapon shop and took the sword.
Lin Yu waited downstairs for a long time before seeing that the weapon shop owner was holding a sword rack with a sword in his hands and cautiously walked to him with a proud face, and he introduced: "Skillful Grade Sword, one of the fifty Skillful Grade Swords made by the expert-workers. The black lacquer is the treasure of the shop."
Lin Yu took the "Skillful Grade Sword" from the owner of the weapon shop and took a closer look at this sword. This sword was once one of Roronoa Zoro's sabers. Later, in order to rescue Robin, he was in the battle of Judicial Island. This sword was destroyed by Captain Shu of the Navy Headquarters, the owner of the Rusty Fruit, and the remaining part was buried on Thriller Bark. Although Roronoa Zoro's sword was easily destroyed by Captain Shu, Lin Yu could not deny its excellent quality, and he could only tell that this sword's bad luck was limited by the Rusty Fruit.
Lin Yu stroked Roronoa Zoro's sword and whispered: "Since you are fortunate enough to meet me, your destiny will be rewritten today."
As if he really felt the fate that he would be undestroyed, the sword in Lin Yu's hand conveyed a sense of obedience, becoming more compatible with him, making Lin Yu's eyes bright. He said happily, "That's it. I will buy it."
Hearing these words, the boss's face smiled like a blooming chrysanthemum, not to mention how happy he was, and his voice arrived immediately: "Sincere benefit 1.8 million Bellys, do you need me to pack it for you honored guest?"
"You don't need wrapping it up and I'll pay and take it away." After Lin Yu had paid the money happily, he was sent out the door by the weapon shop owner with a flat look.
With the beloved weapon in hand, Lin Yu's plan would be almost completed with only the last purpose left which was to redeem the necklace of his predecessor, after distinguishing the direction, he walked to the pawnshop where Lin Yu has put the thing. What kind of bloody plot? After spending more than 100,000 Bellys "custodial fees", he successfully got his blue gemstone necklace back and when he hung the necklace back to his neck, he didn't feel the slightest discomfort, as if it had been hanging there for a long time.
Lin Yu touched the necklace hanging around his neck and thought 'the purpose of returning this time has been achieved, so let's continue my journey. I won't go back to the gymnasium today. Anyway, I just left only for a few days. I will go back to when I become famous.'
After making up his mind, he returned to the dock and found that all the things he bought had been delivered to his mono-masted sailboat. Then, in the sunset, he set out to sea and started his own journey, opening a new chapter.
